This 0.9 square kilometers of walled area within the modern city of Jerusalem is a home to several religious sites of key importance: The dome of the Rock, The Temple Mount and the Western Wall for Jews and the Church of the Holy Specular for Christians.
This postage-stamp-sized piece of land is holy to all three major monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Taking the time to discover all four quarters; Armenian, Christian, Muslim, and Jewish, allows us to uncover the rich, layered identities of this truly unique space. A day in the intersections of faiths.

The Jewish Quarter
Gateway to The Old City of Jerusalem – super intense and overwhelming to the Western traveler. At the heart of the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian religions one-kilometer walled-in area, in the center of Jerusalem.
Visit the Western Wall as well as the Byzantine Cardo and landmark synagogues.
The Western Wall (Wailing Wall/ 'Kotel' in Hebrew) - The last remaining wall of what was once the Jewish Temple and is today the holiest site in the world for Jews. Above the Western Wall lies the Dome of the Rock, which is important for Muslims as the site where the prophet Muhammad is said to have risen to heaven.

Walk in the footsteps of history on the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher - One of the most holy and special sites in Christianity. Located in the Christian Quarter of the old city. The church is home to two of the holiest sites in Christianity – the site where Jesus was crucified, known as Calvary, and the tomb where Jesus was buried and resurrected. The final four Stations of the Cross, or Via Dolorosa, are also located inside the church.

I recently had my first ever trip to Israel. Experiencing it for the first time with Moria as our tour guide was incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and non-judgmental. There were a few times that I was overwhelmed with the beautify and awesomeness of Israel and I just cried. Moria hugged me tight, and just let me be with my emotions. She told me not to think - to allow myself to just feel. I will never forget that. I would love to do another trip to Israel and have Moria as my guide!
