IN THE FOOT STEPS OF DREAMERS IN THE CARMEL DAY TOUR

Past-present-future

Here, time seems to be standing still. Unlike Jerusalem, Nothing special really happened here. God was not revealed to Moses on the mountain, Jesus did not walk on the water and Mohammed did not ascend from here to heaven. There seems to be enough for everyone in these region. Jews and Arabs, Druze and Christians are living side by side - celebrating the diversity of it all.

This day is dedicated to lovers of romance, nature and good stories. We'll be traveling to a close yet distant land. Surprising encounter with a parallel reality, across both way of Israel's highway along the coastal road.

In Zichron Yaacov we will meet with members of the German Christian Bethel community and hear from them about the tenets of their faith. We'll indulge in fresh buns and strudel from the local bakery.

In 'Ramat Hanadiv' Park we will walk the green paths explore the way sustainably affect the local communities. How does Baron Rothschild's Zionist vision is manifesting through day to day life around the nature park.

We'll end the day in a sleepy Arab fishing village from the 19th century. Breathtaking Mediterranean air to fill the heart and lungs. We'll explore the history of the village and its culture. Tour the alleys and the mosque while taking the time to visit famous Juha Guest house. Meet with groundbreaking characters, and locals women of the village over home hospitality.

Meeting with a member of the small and mysterious Bethel German christian community. In the Visitor Center we'll hear  about Emma Berger's vision, lifestyles and activities in Israel. We will start the tour by visiting the bakery and factory shop.

At the southern end of Mount Carmel, between Zichron Yaakov and Binyamina, lies Ramat Hanadiv, a natural gem dedicated to the memory of Baron Edmond de Rothschild. We'll explore the gardens dedicated to commemorate Baron Rothschild's work and vision to this day - a unique green lung that serves as an exploration and environmental study center. We will explore a glimpse into environmental projects derived from the Baron's vision.

Ramat Hanadiv plays a leading role in bringing forward the study and development of resources based on sustainable lifestyle that won't make a distinction between man, nature and the environment, and encourages understanding and appreciating this vision.

The fishing village of Jasser a-Zarqa

Jasser A-Zarqa is a small fishing village located on Israel’s northern coast. The only remaining Arab town in Israel on the Mediterranean Sea, it is located just north of Caesarea and south of the 'Taninim'  (Crocodiles in hebrew) Nature Preserve. Surprising spot, off-the-beaten-path that is worth visiting, especially if you like quiet beaches and colorful people. We will tour the alleys. Enjoy local entrepreneurs and hear the stories of people connecting the social and image masses to their hometown.

Following the tour, a traditional lunch will be served at a local home. Enabling a genuine encounter with the locals – the fishermen, the social entrepreneurs or the musician – depending on your tendency and preference.

I love traveling, but every single time I go somewhere, it ends up being about the people and the meaningful conversations I have had. I enjoyed seeing beautiful Israel with an amazing tour guide who cared to answer my questions and get to know me with the short time that we had.
